Assist. professor Dilyana Georgieva graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University of Sofia in 2002. Since 2009 she has been an assistant, since 2014 she has been assist. professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy. She acquired educational and scientific degree “PhD”at MU-Sofia on theme “Design and research of nanosystems based on pH-sensitive amphiphilic quaternary nitrogen-containing polymeric carriers as drug delivery systems for dexamethasone sodium phosphate.” She has a specialty in Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy, acquired after post-graduate education at MU-Sofia.

She currently holds the position of assist. professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy.

Participates in the training in Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy.

The research work and the contributions of assist. professor D. Georgieva are in the following areas of pharmaceutical science and practice: development and characterization of matrix systems based on various polymer carriers; synthesis and methods for physico-chemical and biopharmaceutical characterization of polymeric drug delivery systems; development and improvement of drug systems with prolonged and controlled release; preparation and research of micro- and nanosystems – polymer nanoparticles, nanotechnology and nanopharmacy.

She is author of scientific publications with citations in indexed journals in J. Citation Reports by Clarivate, Scopus by Elsevier, Web of science by Clarivate, Google scholar, etc. https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=16241402100

Participant in research projects funded by the Medical Science Council.
