Graduated Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical Academy of Sofia in 1974;

Since 1980 he has been an assistant, assistant professor, senior professor, and since 1992 associate professor and since 2011 – professor at the Dep. Pharmaceutical technology and Biopharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia.

He defended his Ph.D. thesis (1980) in the field of Technology of Dosage Forms and Biopharmacy on the topic: Technological and biopharmaceutical research of rectal suppositories with analgesic and sedative effects “

He has specialties in “Technology of dosage forms and galenic preparations” (1984) and “Clinical Pharmacy” (2017) in the line of Postgraduate Education at the Medical University of Sofia.

He is currently a visiting professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University of Sofia.

Participates in the training of students of pharmacy and specialists in “Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy” by lecturing, conducting practical exercises and participating in semester and state exams;

The research work of Prof. Lambov is mainly in the field of development and biopharmaceutical characterization of different types of dosage forms, incl. with controlled release, development of micro- and nanoscale systems with extended and directed distribution in the body

He specialized at the Institute for Pharmacy and chemistry of the foods, University of Munich (1982-1983 г.), Institute of Galenic Pharmacy, University for Frankfurt  (1983 г.), „Rohm Pharma“ Compаny in Darmstadt (1991 г.) and Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy, University Munster  (1992, 2001 and 2006);

He is the author of 144 scientific publications, 91 of which in the impact factor magazine have 268 citations in Scopus Elsevier and Clavirate’s Web science, 9 patents and 24 implemented medicinal products;

Co-author of 4 teaching aids (2 textbooks and 2 manuals for practical exercises for students of pharmacy) and 3 monographs;

Expert in the field of pharmaceutical technology, modified release dosage forms, biopharmacy and biopharmaceutical control;

Leader and participant in 22 research projects funded by the Medical University of Sofia and the Research Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as 3 international research projects funded by the Kernforshungzentrum Karlsruhe (1992-1993), Deutsche Vorschungsgemeischaft (1994) and the Volkswagen Foundation (1995-1999);

Member of the editorial board of the journal “Pharmacy”, of the expert commission for recognition of professional qualification in regulated medical profession and / or specialty in the field of healthcare at the Ministry of Health and the BSPhS.
