Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rossen Todorov Buyukliev graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry at Sofia University in 1982. He worked for 1 year at the PCB Factory – Ruse. Since 1984 he has been appointed a full-time graduate student at IOCCP – BAS. Since March 1991 he has been an assistant professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy. He reopened the NMR spectroscopy laboratory after convincing Bruker, Switzerland, to donate a used NMR spectrometer to the Faculty. Since 1998 he has been Chef Assistant Professor, since 2009 Associate Professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry, which later, after March 2010, merged with the Department of Chemistry. He defended his doctoral dissertation in a doctoral program / scientific specialty on “Synthesis of organic disulfides as additives for copper electrolytes” at IOCCP – BAS.

Participates in training in “Organic Chemistry”

The research work and the contributions of Assoc. Prof. Rosen Buyukliev are in the following areas of pharmaceutical and / or medical science and practice: “Synthesis and pharmacological research for antitumor activity of hydantoins and their complexes with platinum and palladium”

He is the author of 40 publications, 2 textbooks, with 243 citations in indexed journals in J. Citation Reports by Clarivate, Scopus by Elsevier, Web of science by Clavirate, Google scholar and others.

Expert in the field of NMR spectroscopy, organic synthesis.

Participant of 3 research projects funded by SMN at MU – Sofia.
