Assoc. Prof. Konstantin Tachkov is a 2016 graduate of the faculty of pharmacy, Medical University – Sofia. Since 2019, after successfully finishing his PhD on the topic of “epidemiologic and pharmaco-economic models of chronic diseases, he has been a member of the team in the department of “Organization and Economics of the Pharmaceutical system” – first as a chief assistant professor, and from 2021 as a tenured associate professor.
2022 he acquired a masters degree in “Health Technology Assessment” and has a specialty in “toxicology and toxicologic analysis”.
Assoc. Prof. Tachkov is a teacher in the disciplines of “Social Pharmacy”, “Pharmaco-economics”, and “Pharmaceutical Care”. His scientific works are in the fields of modelling the costs and outcomes of chronic diseases, as well as Drug-related problems in the elderly (potentially inappropriate prescription)
He’s authored or co-authored over 38 publications, 1 monography, 3 textbooks. His works are referenced in international and national journals with close to 300 citations.
He is an active participant in national and international medical and pharmaceutical conferences and a member of a team of researchers in 2 national projects, financed by the MOE, and 3 international projects, financed by the European Comission.
