Prof. Manova obtained an educational and qualification degree of “Master” in the professional field of “Pharmacy” at the Pharmaceutical Faculty of the Medical University of Sofia. In 2010, she acqiured an educational and scientific degree “PhD” with the topic “Legislative, patent and market approaches to stimulate the production of generic pharmaceutical products that act on the cardiovascular system”. She has a degree in “Analysis of Drugs,” “Organization and Economy of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing” and “Organization and Economy of Pharmaceutical and Distribution Practice,” obtained through continuing education at MU-Sofia. Since 2014, she has been a member of the National Council on Prices and Reimbursement of Medicinal Products. She has over 100 scientific publications, more than 500 citations, and an h-index of 13. She has participated in scientific events, authored and co-authored textbooks, and participated in national and international scientific projects. Her scientific interests are in the field of pharmaceutical legislation, pharmacoeconomics, and pricing and reimbursement. She is a scientific supervisor of graduate and postgraduate students and under her supervision 2 PhD students have successfully defended their PhD. She has practical experience in the field of pharmaceutical regulation, pricing and reimbursement of pharmaceutical products, and health technology assessment. She participates in two subgroups of the Coordination Group for HTA at the European level. She is a member of the Bulgarian Scientific Society of Pharmacy and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR).
