Chief assistant professor Teodora Popova (PhD) graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy at Medical University of Sofia in 2013. Her diploma thesis on Drug Technology was jointly developed by Anhalt University of Applied Science, Koethen, Germany, thanks to the “Erasmus” program. Since 2014 she has been working in the Department of “Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy” where in 2018 she successfully defended PhD. At the moment she is an chief assistant professor at the department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy.
She has a specialty of Pharmaceutical Technology acquired according to the post-graduate education at Medical University of Sofia, and since 2022 has also started studying a new specialization in Toxicology and Toxicological Analysis.
The scientific researches and contributions of assist. prof. Popova are in the area of the following pharmaceutical sciences: development and characterization of nano-sized drug delivery systems, multiparticulate and transdermal drug dosage forms, modified drug release, chronopharmacy, etc.
