Assoc. Prof. Marta Slavkova PhD graduated Faculty of Pharmacy at Medical University of Sofia in 2012 Summa cum laude. Afterwards, she successively held the position of assistant and chief assistant professor and since 2025 she is an associated professor at the “Department of Pharmaceutical Technology with Biopharmaceutics”.
In 2016 she defended her PhD thesis after conducting experiments supported by DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) in Heinrich Heine University, Duesseldorf, Germany. In 2019 she obtained a specialty in Pharmaceutical Technology.
Her scientific interests are focused on different nanosized drug delivery systems for modification of time or site of drug release.
She actively participated in numerous projects with national and international funding, including one in cooperation with Austria and two following COST actions. A project by Medical Council at MU-Sofia under her managing received excellent grade upon its report in 2024.
Assoc. Prof. Slavkova is a member of Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Scientific Society (BSPhS), Bulgarian Association of Pharmaceutical Technology (BAPhT) and Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Pharmazeutische Technologie (APV, Germany).
