Assistant professor Martha Slavkova graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy at Medical University of Sofia in 2012 Summa cum laude.
Since 2013 she has been working as Assistant professor in the Department of “Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy”. She defended PhD in Pharmaceutical technology and the dissertation theme is: “Development and characterization of lipid pellet systems for taste masking and dose adaptation for the paediatrics”.
She is a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and during 2014-2015 conducts a scientific research regarding her PhD thesis in Heinrich-Heine University, Düsseldorf, Germany.
She has a specialty of Pharmaceutical Technology acquired according to the post-graduate education at Medical University of Sofia.
At the moment she is an Assistant Professor at the department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy.
She takes part in the training and exam sessions for Pharmaceutical Technology Part I, Part II and Biopharmacy in Bulgarian and English.
The scientific researches and contributions of Assist. Prof. Slavkova are in the area of the following pharmaceutical and/or medical science and practice: experimental design and optimization, development and characterization of nano-sized drug delivery systems, modified drug release, pediatric dosage forms, etc.
She is an author and co-author of more than 25 publications, with more than 156 citations in journal indexed by J. Citation Reports by Clarivate, Scopus by Elsevier, Web of science by Clavirate, Google scholar and others.
She is an expert in the area of development and characterization of dosage forms.
She takes part in a number of scientific projects with the financial support of Medical University-Sofia, Found Scientific Researches and others.
Assist. Prof. Slavkova is a member of professional scientific organizations such as: Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Scientific Society (BSPhS), Bulgarian Association of Pharmaceutical Technology (BAPhT), Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Pharmazeutische Technologie (APV, Germany)
