Assoc. Prof. Dr. Christina Voycheva graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University – Sofia in 2001. Since 2010 she has been an assistant, since 2014 – a senior assistant, and currently she holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Biopharmaceutical Technology. She has a specialty in Drug Technology and Biopharmacy and a second Master’s degree in Health Management from the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University – Sofia.
Her research work and contributions are in the field of dermal and transdermal drug delivery systems and nanoscale drug delivery systems. She is the author of numerous publications, textbooks, and monographs, with many citations in indexed journals in Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate), Scopus (Elsevier), Web of Science (Clarivate), Google Scholar, and others.
She has participated in research projects funded by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Medical Science Council at the Medical University – Sofia, and other universities. She has completed courses in homeopathy at the Training and Development Center for Homeopathy, in European legislation and control of cosmetic products, in Cosmetic Products – Rational Therapy and Realization and Cosmetic Programs for Different Skin Types at the licensed training center “Euro Bul Training.” She has also completed courses in Controlled Release by Coating and Advanced Formulations for Gastro-Intestinal Targeting at Evonik Industries.
Assoc. Prof. Voycheva is also engaged in the development and production of cosmetic products. She is a member of the Bulgarian Scientific Pharmaceutical Society, the Hungarian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union.
