Assoc. Prof. Paraskev Nedialkov graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University in 1994. Its academic career has been started as an assistant professor in 1999, and in 2012 he has promoted an associate professor. He defended his doctoral thesis in the field of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry on the topic “Xanthones and benzophenones in members of the genus Hypericum L”. He has specialties in “Medicinal Plants and Herbal Drugs” and “Organization and Economics of Pharmaceutical Production” acquired through the SDO in MU-Sofia. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy and the administrative position of Deputy. Dean of Public Procurement and Project Finance. The research work and the contributions of Assoc. Prof. Paraskev Nedialkov are in the chemical composition and biological activity of plant extracts and products. He is the author of over 60 publications with over 600 citations in indexed journals in J. Citation Reports by Clarivate, Scopus by Elsevier, Web of science by Clavirate, Google scholar, etc. Expert in the field of phytochemistry of representatives of the genus Hypericum (family Hypericaceae) and Chenopodium (family Amaranthaceae). Participant or leader of over 15 research projects funded by the SMN at the Medical University – Sofia and the Bulgarian National Science Fund. Member of expert groups at the Bulgarian National Science Fund (TSEC and PSEC in Medical Sciences) and the National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation. Member of professional and scientific organizations and associations: Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union, Scientific Society of Pharmacy, Bulgarian Society of Phytochemistry.
