Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vanya Maslarska has graduated from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – Sofia in 1994. From 1995-2001 she was an Assistant Professor, 2001-2005 – Senior Assistant Professor, 2005-2014 – Head Assistant Professor. Since 2014 been an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry. She is defending her doctoral dissertation in Pharmaceutical Chemistry on “A new approach to quantitative analysis of substances and pharmaceutical products with acid-base properties.”(2010). Assoc. Prof. Maslarska holds specialities in “Theoretical Basics of Medical Chemistry” and “Drug Analysis” acquired in postgraduate studies at MU-Sofia. She completed a postgraduate course “Introduction to Pedagogy” – Faculty of Medicine, MU-Sofia. She graduated from the Free Faculty of the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia with a degree in scientific and technical information and patent law.
Chief Administrative Assistant of the Department of Chemistry in the period (2010 – 2018). Currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry. Participates in the training in Analytical Chemistry and Postgraduate course on Clinical Pharmacy – module: Analysis of drugs and metabolites in biological samples.
The research work of Assoc. Prof. Vanya Maslarska is in the following areas of pharmaceutical science and practice: Analysis of drugs: Analysis of drugs by functional groups, theoretical foundations and application of instrumental methods – chromatographic, spectral and electrochemical in the characterization of newly synthesized compounds and the assessment of the quality of medicinal substances and dosage forms; as well as analysis in biological samples. Chemometric approaches in analytical chemistry.
She is the author of 50 publications, 1 handbook and 1 textbook with 170 citations in indexed journals. in J. Citation Reports by Clarivate, Scopus by Elsevier, Web of science by Clavirate, a Google Scholar.
Participant in 4 and leader of 2 research projects funded by Medical Science Council at MU-Sofia.
