Prof. Doytchinova has >20 years of experience in the field of drug design and bioinformatics. Author of >160 scientific papers cited >8000 (h-index 36). She has supervised 6 PhD students and led several national and internation projects. Her research is focused on the design of novel biologically active molecules and on the development of innovative bioinformatic approaches for protein immunogenicity prediction and peptide binding prediction to MHC proteins. These models are implemented in freely accessible web applications (https://www.ddg-pharmfac.net) widely used by vaccine developers. She is awarded the Panacea prize (2011) of the Medical University of Sofia for contributions to biomedical sciences and the Pythagoras prize (2016) of the Ministry of Education and Science for achievements in biomedical sciences.
