Senior Assistant Professor Violeta Getova, MScPharm graduates from Faculty of pharmacy, Medical University Sofia in 2016.

In 2018 she obtains PhD in doctoral program “Pharmacoeconomics and pharmaceutical regulation” with thesis entitled “Regulatory and practical aspects of patients’ participation in pharmacovigilance”.  She has post-graduate specialization in “Pharmacology and pharmacotherapy” from Medical University Sofia. Since 2022 Violeta Getova is assistant professor in Department “Organization and Economics of pharmacy”.  

She takes part in teaching Social pharmacy and pharmaceutical legislation, Pharmacoeconomics, Medical devices, Pharmaceutical care, Hospital pharmacy, Regulation of clinical trials courses – in Bulgarian and English.

Getova’s scientific work and contributions are in the fields of pharmaceutical and drug regulation, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology.

Author of 25 publications with 11 citations in journals indexed in J. Citation Reports (Clarivate), Scopus (Elsevier), Web of science (Clavirate), Google scholar etc.

Expert in the field of regulation of clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, European regulatory network.

Part of the editorial board of Clinical trials and Medical case reports (Prime Open Access Publications).

Reviewer for European Journal of Hospital Pharmacy, Oxford Medical Case Reports, Pharmacia.

For the period 2016-2021 works as an expert in BDA, Bulgarian contact person for „EudraVigilance” and local trainer for Clinical trials information system.

Member of Bulgarian pharmaceutical union and Bulgarian Scientific Pharmaceutical Society.
