Prof. Konstantin Mitov graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics at the Sofia University in 1985.
Since 1986 he has been an assistant / senior aassistant professor, since 2015 Associate Professor and since 2019 Professor at the Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy.
He defended his PhD dissertation in the specialty: “Pharmacoeconomics and pharmaceutical regulation” on “Projection and developing of educational information system for medical universities in Bulgaria” in 2014.
He currently holds the position of Full time Professor at the Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy and Head of the Department for the term 2021-2025. Participates in the training in “Higher mathematics”, “Statistical methods”, “Informational technologies”, “Pharmacoeconomics” – in Bulgarian and English.
Prof. Mitov’s research work and contributions are in the following areas of educational, pharmaceutical and medical science and practice: Projection and developing of educational information systems, Projection and developing of automated systems for generation, presentation, checking and putting mark of the results of exam tests, Application of biostatistician and probabilistic methods in pharmacy and medicine and Health technologies assessment(HTA).
He is the author of 62 publications, 30 implementations, 32 textbooks and guidelines, with over 100 citations, without auto citations, in indexed journals in J. Citation Reports by Clarivate, Scopus by Elsevier, Web of science by Clavirate, Google scholar and others.
Participant in 20 scientific congresses and conferences – national and international.
Participant and/or leader of 6 research projects funded by the MON, NSF, SMN of MU-Sofia and others.
Member of expert groups – Member of the working group for educational registers of MON; Member of the HTA Commissions 2017-2019.
