Acquired a Master’s degree in Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University – Sofia. In 2007 she obtained the educational and scientific degree “PhD”. Prof. Savova has a degree in “Organization and Economics of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing” and “Organization and Economics of Pharmaceutical and Distribution Practice” acquired under the SDO at MU-Sofia. Since 2013 she is a member of the National Council on Prices and Reimbursement of Medicinal Products. She has over 100 scientific publications, more than 700 citations and h-index=12, participation in scientific events, authorship and co-authorship in textbooks, participation in national and international scientific projects. Her research interests are in the field of pharmaceutical legislation, pharmacoeconomics and pricing and reimbursement. She is a scientific supervisor of graduate and postgraduate students and under her supervision 3 PhD students have successfully defended their PhD. She has practical experience in pharmaceutical regulation, pricing and reimbursement of medicines and health technology assessment. She participates in two subgroups of the European level HTA Coordination Group. Member of the Bulgarian Scientific Society of Pharmacy and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR).
