Assistant Professor Teodor Marinov, graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University-Plovdiv in 2016.
He is an Assistant at the Department of Pharmacognosy in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia since 2025.
He has a specialty in “Medicinal Plants and Phytopharmaceuticals”, acquired through the Post Graduate Specialisation at Medical University of Sofia.
He participates in the training in “Pharmacognosy” for pharmacy students.
The research work and the contributions of Assistant Professor Teodor Marinov are in the following areas: phytochemical investigation of species from the genus Hypericum, the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the component composition of extracts by UHPLC-HRMS, along with isolation and structural elucidation of predominantly polar phenolic compounds.
He is the author of 5 publications with 18 citations in journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports by Clarivate, Scopus by Elsevier, Web of Science by Clavirate and Google Scholar, H-index – 2
He is a participant in 3 research projects funded by the Council of Medical Science at Medical University of Sofia and the National Research Fund at Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science.
He is a member of “Bulgarian pharmaceutical union”, “Bulgarian Phytochemical Association” and “Bulgarian Scientific Society of Pharmacy”.
