Prof. Savova graduated from Faculty of pharmacy at Medical University, Sofia in 1996. Since 2010, she started working in the department Organization and economy of pharmacy in Faculty of pharmacy at Medical University, Sofia. She is a specialist in Organization and economy of pharmaceutical manufacturing and Organization and economy of wholesale and retail practice acquired in Medical University, Sofia. She is conducting lectures, practicals, seminars, supervision of master and PhD theses in the mandatory and free eligible subjects taught in the department: medical devices, social pharmacy, pharmacoeconomics, pharmaceutical care, pharmaceutical marketing in Bulgarian and/or English language.

Member of National Council on prices and reimbursement of medicinal products and expert in the field of drug regulation.

Author or/and co-author of over 90 scientific papers and 8 textbooks/training aids, with over 200 citations in the peer reviewed and indexed journals in J. Citation Reports of ISI Web of Knowledge-Thomson Reuters.

Leading scientist and/or participant in numerous scientific projects, funded by Medical University, Sofia and Ministry of science and education. Participant in two international scientific projects, funded by European funds.

The scientific and research work of Prof. Savova is focused on several areas of modern pharmaceutical science and practice, such as drug regulation, pricing and reimbursement of medicines, pharmacoeconomics, health technology assessment etc.
